Need-based Yale offers need-blind admissions and need-based financial aid to all
applicants, international and domestic. Yale admits undergraduate students
without regard to their ability to pay, and provides need-based financial aid
awards to all admitted students on the basis of individual needs assessments.
Financial aid awards for international students are created using a needs
analysis that takes into account the relative differences between the US
economy and the economy of students’ home countries.
Merit-based Yale does not award merit-based scholarships.
